Earth Angel Farm
(EAF) is 100% volunteer based, 501c3 nonprofit organization started in October 2012. EAF is one of 177 Green Care Farms in the US.
What Is A Green Care Farm?
A GCF combines agricultural actvities and care services to improve the health of vulnerable populations. There are 177 GreenCare Farms in the US.Ohio has the most with 13 active or planned farms.
Where Is EAF?
At this time there is not one location for the "farm", but rather various sites , including Warren Greenhouse, and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital which accommodate the specific needs of the individuals served through EAF. EAF goes where it is needed.

What's In Store For EAF In 2017?
"Go to Health":
Our goal with the Go to health campaign is to xcreat affordable and accesible options for emotional anf physical well-being. We will highligdht 5 areas of good health: sleep, nutrition, exercise, positive thinking, and the environment.
Parkinson's Disease Exercise Class
every Friday at 12:15 pm to 1:45 pm at Hillside
EAF is proud to serve our veterans by offering Horticulture Therapy at the California Palms Addiction and Recovery Campus(CaliPARC) in Austintown.
EAF is designing a curriculum for a Nature Therapy Assiatant (NTA) Program in conjunction with Chicago Botanic Garden. NTAs will receive training in horticulture, EAFshepherding with goats and skills in working with domestic and small farm animals as a therapeutic tool. This course can be used for voxcational training ,as well as, personal wellness.
We are excited about our upcoming partnership with Trumbull Art Gallery in creating a therapeutic potterty program for those living with physical and developmental disabilities.
"Sunshine Team" will promote healing activities in extended care facilities.

Jan's Clan Epilepsy Support Group hosted by EAF
Meet the first Wednesday of each month at Zion Lutheran Church,3300 Mahoning Ave in Austintown at 6 pm. Gentle Yoga with Melissa Kerr will begin April 5 from 6:30i to 7pm. Yoga will be offered the first Wednesday of each month.
Jan's Clan is actively creating social and educational opportunities for those who live with seizure disorders including transportation efforts and healthy coping strategies.

What's Happening Now
EAF Furry Angel Fostering and Adoption Program
is currently being created in conjunction with Elite K9's Karen Lody-Lutz and Kathy Miller. This program will be mutually therapeutic for EAF volunteers,those fostering and adopting the dogs and our furry angels. Stay tuned for more details this spring.
EAF involment with the environment,agriculture and health
The Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste Managment has awarded EAF the Earth Tub, an invessel composter similar to the unit at YSU. This $14,000unit arrived in September of 2015. In the fall of 2015 we began our compost education campaign with our Earth Tub.
